Peer review process: IDE-Journal is a peer reviewed digital journal. All contributions are reviewed by at least two anonymous experts, whereby the author’s name is not known to the reviewers. The authors of the submitted manuscripts are provided with the written comments by the anonymous reviewers.

Open access statement: IDE-Journal is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely available to all users on the Internet after publication. Users can read, copy and publish the publications in other media as long as they are non-commercial and the author or rights holder and the name of the journal title is mentioned. One of the advantages of the authors is the free access to IDE-Journal for all users worldwide. In addition, the authors retain all rights to their work.

Licensing terms:  IDE-Journal chooses a licensing policy in which users are allowed to copy, distribute and transmit an article as long as the author is attributed, the article is not used for commercial purposes, and the work is not modified or adapted in any way. By submitting the manuscript for publication in IDE-Journal, the authors agree to the licensing of their work according to the Creative Commons for CC BY-NC-ND (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs License).

Plagiarism Policy: Authors aiming for publication in the IDE Journal must strictly follow the usual rules, as e.g. described in https://www.auctoresonline.org/plagiarism. This means among other things that IDE-Journal requests the originality of submitted English-language manuscripts written exclusively for this Journal. If a member of the editorial board or a reviewer discovers plagiarism at any stage of the article’s processing, the author(s) will be notified and asked to rewrite the content in question or to cite the references from which the content was taken. If the authors do not react accordingly and thoroughly remove the plagiarism, the article will be rejected. In rare exceptional cases, articles may be included which have already been published previously but have new exceptional topicality and been updated or published in another language, and if the initial publication is clearly marked. Contributions written by non-native English speakers can be corrected by the IDE language experts.

Archiving policy: Authors are free and encouraged to store their work, for instance in institutional or funder repositories or websites such as Academia.edu, ResearchGate etc. to increase circulation. Contents of the journal will be registered with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) and similar repositories (see also “About the Journal”)
